The Best Recipe Ever for Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
On May 18, 2021 by Megan FolsomWho doesn’t love yummy banana chocolate chip muffins?! This is such an easy, quick recipe, which makes it even better!
Have you ever wondered, what should I do with those old, black bananas? MAKE MUFFINS! Don’t waste them!
A lot of people wonder how black is too black when it comes to bananas. Honestly, overly ripe bananas (the ones that are almost questionable) make the best banana muffins. As long as they are not moldy, I use them.
When we shop for groceries, I always plan to buy some extra bananas. That way, there are some getting more ripe and will be left over to make our banana muffins.
How We Eat Them
Austin actually doesn’t like chocolate at all. Because of that, I usually make only half of them with chocolate chips and the other half without any add-ins.
The nice thing about this recipe is that you can always substitute the chocolate chips out. You can replace them with other add-ins you would prefer such as almonds, walnuts or raisins.
They are prefect for us to grab and go for breakfast. Plus, he takes them for snacks at work and we love eating them in the evenings for a treat. They’re definitely one of my favorite quick snacks as a mom, and my toddler LOVES snacking on them, too.
These muffins are so good at room temperature, but they also heat up really well in the microwave. We usually put them in for about 8 seconds and they are at the perfect temperature.
